| Dear
Pastor Ed, Shalom my dear friend. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the generosity of "For the Sake of Zion." Two months ago, you began an emergency appeal to collect funds so that we could accept and provide housing for ten new immigrant families from the former Soviet Union. You have met and seen the faces of these new immigrants. They leave their homes in the former Soviet Union with little more than the clothes on their backs and a few rubles in their pockets. They come with trust that God will provide for them as they return to the Land of their forefathers, Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Their difficult journey to Israel is a recreation of the journey taken by our ancestors. They walk the very same steps traversed 5,000 years ago by our patriarchs and matriarchs. It is the Bible come alive in modern times. They are coming home in fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and you, my friend(s), are playing a pivotal part in the ingathering of the exiles.
You
witnessed several months ago during your trip to Israel, the We
immediately had to refurbish old, run down trailers. We had to
purchase small refrigerators, ovens, basic furnishings and food
for these families. My dear friend, Pastor Ed,
you immediately responded to the immediate need
and appealed to the friends of "For the Sake of Zion" to
raise the funds necessary to pull our new families through their
initial weeks in Israel. You and your
constituents demonstrated and continue to demonstrate
their love for Israel and His people. |
This
summer, we expect an additional influx of thirty new families.
This will create an additional emergency situation as their daily
needs will have to be provided for as well. As
"For the Sake of Zion" reaches out, educates
and broadens its base of support, please share with your
wonderful people the continuing emergency need to provide for
God's children returning home to the Land of our
forefathers. I have been asked, "Why the Church" and "What is Christianity's role in the return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel"? I embarked on this mission over a year ago convinced that the Church is ready to step in and play the major role in restoring the Jewish people to the Land of Israel. In
contradiction to our Biblical mandate, the American government
pressures Israel to retreat from it's ancient homeland. The
European community is overwhelmingly ../side2d with
Yasser Arafat and other extremist Arab elements
that want to destroy the state of Israel. Together,
pastor, ttthis has created the opportunity for the Church to
stand up and declare
tdeclare that the world is acting against God's Divine plan. The
Church Church is Israel's best friend and with God's help we can
cause an earthquake and miracle no less than that
of the parting of the Red SeaSea. We
are truly blessed to have you as our friends. Please convey my
blessings to those who see our mutual vision of returning one million
scattered Jews to the Land of Israel May
you and your family, congregants and all those connected
with your holy work be blessed. B'vracha
(Blessings) Your
dear friend,
