Many
of you have been following the events of the last several weeks!
I have received hundreds of emails of support. As usual, Israel
has been portrayed with enormous bias by the western media. I
submit the following interpretation of the recent events. (Ed Steele and Mel Borenstein contributed to the following article)
Sixty years after the the
Holocaust, Israel is a vital nation placed here by the mighty
hand of God in fulfillment of biblical prophecy. But mortal
enemies again seek its destruction and the extinction of the
Jewish people…YET - WITH YOUR IMMEDIATE HELP, YOU CAN HELP US
STAY THE COURSE AGAINST THOSE WHO AIM TO DESTROY US.
Make no mistake, the Palestinian Arab Radical Islamic forces, even the
so-called moderate Al-Fatah groups are going all out to destroy
the state of Israel. The blood-chilling chants of mobs in
Ramallah and Gaza seen on television around the World, yelling
“Itbach al Yahud” – Kill the Jews, are frightening witness
to their awful plans. But we have news for them, God has
other plans for Israel. And it includes a future with an
unprecedented influx of Jews returning “home”… just as
prophesied in Ezekiel 36 – 39.
On September 29, 2000 following prayers in the Al Aqsa
mosque on the Temple mount, a well planned and deceptively
orchestrated violent uprising was launched by Yassir Arafat.
Deceptively protected by
children and youth, Arab Palestinian “Police” (now numbering
over 60,000, all of them equipped with automatic weapons)
simultaneously attacked Israelis in more than a dozen locations
– including Jerusalem and settlement communities including the
one in which I live.
Their actions were punctuated by the blood curdling cry “Allah Akbar”,
Allah is great - KILL
THE JEWS – KILL THE JEWS.
The Arab mobs also went after sites sacred to Jews such as Joseph’s
tomb in Nablus. After the Israeli Government and the Israel
Defense Forces made a shameful deal with the Palestinian Police
to protect the site as prescribed by the Oslo Agreement, within
half an hour they not only ripped the building apart and burned
it, they took special pains to destroy precious prayer books.
Now their Moslem leaders are constructing a Mosque where the
Jewish Holy Site once stood. This is the crux of the Oslo
Agreement.
Few wars break out spontaneously…and certainly the present one is no
exception.
Does
anyone believe that Ehud Barak, who went to Camp David and
offered the Palestinian Arabs “peace” terms of breathtaking
generosity, would be starting a war? Does anyone believe that
the most dovish government in Israeli history, feeling itself
just inches away from concluding a permanent peace, would
initiate gun battles?
The plain fact is that Yasser Arafat, thrown on the diplomatic defensive
by rejecting Barak’s offer has done what he has always
done…resort to violence to regain the initiative and create
new underage martyrs on world television-to regain the
international sympathy he had forfeited by turning down peace at
Camp David.
Arafat’s pretext was the September 28th visit of Ariel
Sharon to the Temple Mount. The audacity of this claim is
astonishing. Yes, the Temple Mount is the 3rd holiest
place in Islam. But it happens to be the single most holy place
to Jews
This is what the Palestinian Arabs call a war for Jerusalem. It is not
what the world press has reported as an expression of
Palestinian frustration. Frustration at what? Supposed Israeli
occupation? 99% of Palestinian arabs live under the rule of
Yasser Arafat. Over territory? Barak has conceded virtually the
entire West Bank. Over political subordination? Barak offered
full recognition of the first independent Palestinian state in
history.
Bark gave up everything at Camp David except one last thing…the Temple
Mount. He offered to relinquish sovereignty over Judaism’s
holiest site and internationalize it under the UN security
council…Arafat refused. He demands ownership of Judaism’s
holy of holies---the sheer audacity of his arrogance is
breathtaking.
And on top of it all…Arafat has been emboldened by an American
Pre../side2nt and administration so craven for its place in history
that it refuses to condemn Arafat for his constant violation of
his single obligation according to the Oslo accords…the
renunciation of violence.
