Another main focus of Pastor John
Stocker’s sermon on Sunday March 11th was the
reasoning for why Christianity must stand as one with the Jewish
people and the State of Israel. He emphasized that the
re-gathering of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland and
the continued survival of the Jewish People against all logic is
the greatest witness that God is faithful to His
word and that the Bible is true. He said that the very validity of
the Bible rests on witnessing the prophetic return of the Jewish
people to the Land of Israel. He even went as far as to say that
if Israel were ever, God forbid, destroyed or its people dispersed
again into exile, it would render the entire Bible a lie. Therefore,
it is Israel that stands as the very validity of the Bible and
God’s word. He also expressed that replacement
theology has no leg to stand on since it is the Jewish people,
Religious as well as secular and even atheistic Jews, who have
been re-gathered to the modern State of Israel over the past 52
years. What better refutation
of “replacement theology” can there be? What better witness to
the fulfillment of God’s prophetic word can there be? What
better proof that God has remained faithful to the Jewish people
just as He expressed to Abraham in Genesis and throughout the
prophets. It is the most incredible thing to walk the Land and see
the words of the Bible come alive as Israel becomes a
vibrant, modern nation of more than five million Jews. We live in
a privileged time. |

I would like to share one brief excerpt of the speech
that I delivered during my recent trip to the United States…

“I
recently returned from a three week tour of Norway. I spoke in
24 Churches including two of the largest Churches in Norway.
More than 500 Norwegians committed themselves to building our
first absorption center through monthly or quarterly tithing. In
America, I can count on one hand the number of Pastors that have
the courage to stand firmly behind this mission and openly
express their unconditional love and support of Israel and the
Jewish people. The response I receive in America
is…”Eliezer, I’ll pray for Israel. I’ll take the donor
card home and ask God to put it on my heart and tell me what to
do. Eliezer, it’ll happen in God’s timing.”…And you know
what happens to these people? I never hear from them again and
they forget Shuva Israel. They fail the challenge and they lose
the blessing. It is God’s timing. 5,000,000 Jews have
been restored to the Land of Israel over the last 52
years…over a million during the last 11 years alone. Maybe I
should go out to Ace hardware, buy a hammer and bang people on
the head so they realize IT IS GOD who is returning HIS people
to HIS land…and DO NOT use the excuse of “waiting for
God’s timing” as the reason for inaction. A few people have
said that I’m a bit aggressive…Eliezer shhhhhhh…don’t
use the dirty “m” word…Material possessions are merely on
loan from God. We are simply stewards of HIS treasury. I don’t
call it aggressive…I call it bold out of necessity. We
are living under siege and only have one friend in the
world…and that is you…and people need to be challenged or
else they may fail to respond. Hundreds of Norwegians filled out
the cards and committed themselves and then came up to me
afterwards and said, “Eliezer, what else can we do to
help”?…My friends, I believe that that is the way God
intended it to be.”
