BRAVO NORWAY!!! Congratulations, Norway… 

During my recent trip to Norway between Jan.21-Feb. 12, Shuva held 21 receptions all over Norway. Several thousand Christian friends attended. More than 500 commitments to tithe monthly were made to Shuva Israel. More financial commitments were made in three weeks in Norway than in the entire previous year. BRAVO!

Shuva Israel has been embraced by many of Norway’s best known Christian leaders and organizations. The first week included touring around the Oslo area with Leif Wellerop and Arvid Bentsen of the Norwegian Christian Embassy. The second and third weeks included receptions in Southern and Western Norway organized by Finn Jarle Saele and the staff of his weekly Christian newspaper “Norge IDAG”. Both the Norwegian Christian Embassy and Finn Jarle are committed to the mission of returning the next million Jews to the Hills of Samaria. They have pledged to work ../side2 by ../side2 with Shuva Israel until this task is completed.

There were several television appearances on the largest Christian TV network in Norway during my visit as well as extensive interviews in Christian newspapers. Some of the best known Christian pastors in Norway have lined up in complete support of Judea and Samaria and will be working together with “Shuva Israel Norway.”

Hjalmar Svennevik drove me to each of the more than 20 receptions, entertained audiences on the harp and violin as well as translated from English to Norwegian at several of the meetings. Lars -Toralf Storstrand joined us half way through the journey and acted as translator for the remainder of the trip. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Hjalmar, Lars and my friends at “IDAG” and the Norwegian Christian Embassy…TODAH RABAH, RABAH, RABAH!

Plans are already in place for at least two more trips to Norway in the coming months. “IDAG” will continue to raise funds for Shuva through appeals in its paper as well as hold meetings while I am traveling to the US, Canada or at home in Israel. Shuva’s campaign in Norway has been named “Action Ezekiel 36”. The goal is to sign up 7,500 Norwegian friends (for starters) to tithe monthly sums to Shuva until our mission of returning the next one million Jewish immigrants to the Hills of Samaria has been completed. During the three-week trip to Norway, we raised more than six times the anticipated amount and added more than 1,000 names to our database.

Hjalmar and Lars have assisted Shuva in opening a bank account in Norway. Hjalmar has volunteered to be director of Shuva Israel-Norge and has taken on the work of compiling the Norway database. Lars has volunteered to translate our monthly newsletter into Norwegian and Hjalmar and a group of volunteers will send the newsletter monthly to our rapidly expanding Norwegian database.

I am deeply moved by the warm reception of the people in Norway. The outpouring of unconditional love for Israel was felt every minute of every day. TODAH RABAH, NORWAY!
