There is little doubt as to the true intentions of Yasser Arafat. His definition of a diplomatic solution is the piece-by-piece dismantling of the Jewish State. From his perspective, the conflict will continue until, God forbid, Israel ceases to be a State!

The following is taken from the April 6^th edition of the Jerusalem Post. Since the signing of the Oslo accords, world press has worked hard to convince us that Palestinian Arabs deserve a state of their own. What kind of state could we expect them to establish?…”A state where small children are educated to hate other peoples, religions and cultures. Where they attend summer camps and are taught that to strap explosives to their bodies and carry out kamikaze suicide missions is the highest form of religious expression. Where they are taken to the front to get shot for the sake of photo ops, and where their parents get paid blood money for sacrificing their children. A state in which people regularly murder women for violating male honor codes. A society in which a brother will slit the throat of a sister he suspects of sexual misconduct, while his mother and father look on in approval. A state where domestic abuse isn’t a problem; it’s an accepted way of life.

In Afghanistan under the Taliban-another extremist Moslem regime exercising its legitimate right to self-determination-women are virtual slaves, denied education, medical care, employment and freedom of movement or expression. A state in which executions are carried out without due process. A state, which defends the blowing up, of school buses filled with children. A state in which education consists of hate-mongering textbooks. A state run by corrupt officials who pocket international monetary assistance collected to alleviate the suffering of the hungry and unemployed. A state, which has no respect for human life, where primitive, unrestrained, boundless violence and hatred are legitimate expressions of national identity. A state, which encourages terrorism, and releases convicted mass murderers from its prisons. A state which adheres to no international agenda on human rights, including the Geneva Conventions which prohibit the deliberate targeting of noncombatants as a crime against humanity. Does the world really need another corrupt state of Moslem extremists? Should we empower and legitimize yet another murderous

regime? Anyone who really cares about humanity or liberalism should oppose such a state.”

Will there finally be a change in US policy towards Yasser Arafat and the PA?

“Eighty-seven of the 100 U.S. Senators have sent a letter to Pre../side2nt George W. Bush requesting that he not invite PA leader Yasser Arafat, at least until after the White House completes a reassessment of its relationship with the Palestinian Authority. The letter, initiated by Senators Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Joseph Biden (D-DE), urges the Bush Administration to con../side2r putting Arafat's Fatah Tanzim and Force 17 on the official U.S. list of terrorist organizations. A similar letter is circulating in the U.S. House of Representatives, initiated by Reps. Henry Hyde (R-IL), Chairman of the House International Relations Committee, and Ben Gilman (R-NY), Chairman of that Committee's Middle East Subcommittee.

The Brownback-Biden letter notes that ‘many of the attacks [against Israel] are well-planned operations involving the highest levels of the Palestinian security forces, openly led by the PLO's own militia, the Tanzim.’ The

letter also points out that ‘Arafat's release from detention since July of over 130 members of the most radical anti-Israel groups directly involved in attacks against Israelis has resulted in the commission of many acts of
